How Can sore Throat And Stomach Pain In A 8 Year Old Boy Be Treated?

My 8 yr. Son is not feeling well complaining of sore throat and stomach hurting. I gave him Tylenol and fever reducer. His head and neck is not hot but his body and legs are hot. My concern is he is breathing very rapid while sleeping? Is this something to be concerned about?

Hi your son is 8 years old having fever sore throat and abdominal pain better with acetaminophen.Peripheries are warmer don't worry,if we have cold Peripheries it is matter of concern.Sponge him up with normal tap water neither cold nor hot.Tachypnoea or increased breathing could be feature of fever also.Dont be panic see whether he has bluish tint of tongue or finger tips if no proceed with sponging and watch his breathing, whether settling. We wait for 3 days for any sore throat or abd pain before starting antibiotics. If not better withe above procedures or illness crossed three days take him to a doctor inperson.Take care.
